Glad to hear things worked out. I've been using USPS with good luck, but I'm aware of the "good luck" feature with any shipper. I'd feel somewhat better if I had a copy of the letter. Please send to berle@visproductions.com

Thanks,

I found out something useful this week and my firearm friends don't seem to be aware of it. I went to ship a stock Priority Mail with $3500 insurance. The PO employee suggested that he give me prices for both Priority and Express mail, which didn't make sense to me, because Express is faster than Priority.
Turns out the Priority was $71 and Express $53.
Priority shipping is LESS expensive, but Priority INSURANCE is MORE expensive. I wish someone would've told me this years ago.

Thanks,
Berle

Valmet13, Next time check the price to send it Registered Mail if you plan to insure it for more than $1000. I think that you will find it less expensive than either Priority mail or Express mail. May take a day longer than Priority mail and a couple of days longer than Express mail depending on the destination. As you found out the insurance rates on Priority mail become quite expensive at higher insured values.

Rick is correct, at higher values Registered Priority is much cheaper since it is signed for every time it changes hands.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.
