There is an article in the Winter, 2008 DGJ, on Iver Johnson Skeeters by Colin McLagan. There is a high grade skeeter pictured and described. It's a beautiful gun. I have a friend who has one of these high grades, a .20ga. he purchased 15 -- 18 years ago. The gun is in mint condition. The engraving is nearly identical, but a little more elaborate, along with the barrel breeches. The fore-end iron is signed/stamped "Gough" 1940. The checkering is extraordinary and the stock and fore-end are just gorgeous crotch grain black walnut. While he is not actively seeking a buyer, the gun is for sale. Anybody here able to put a market value on this gun? I will try to get some pictures to post, but the gun displayed in the DBJ is a good start. Any input is appreciated.
