This gun is a sidelock ejector with damascus barrels. The address on the top rib is 33 New Bond Street, London. Does anybody know anything about these guns? Bozard & Co. has a web site but they have not responded to my email.

This is from the IGC database:
Bozard & Co was established in 1888 at 33 New Bond Street. Bozard had been employed by James Purdey & Sons. In 1896 the firm moved to 8 Bennett Street (premises previously occupied by J D Dougall).
In 1898 the firm was recorded as Bozard, Bedingfield, Philip & Co trading at 4 Panton Street; but there are reports that say that some of amalgamation took place with Moore & Grey at 8 Craven Street. However, Moore & Grey were not recorded at Craven Street until 1902. Whatever happened, the Bozard, Bedingfield, Philip & Co partnership did not last and in 1899 the firm was again recorded as Bozard & Co at 4 Panton Street, Haymarket; they were not recorded there after 1901.
The firm made a "Simplissimus" model sidelock ejector

They seem to have made enough guns that individuals show up from time to time. The samples I've seen fit to the typical Original Quality grades and Currnt Conditions levels one typically finds in the Brit gun trade. The name is BV3; 2/3 the value of a BV2 of similar OQ grade and at a similar CC level.

I have a record of Bozzard trading at; 8,Craven Street,Strand, London,in 1908-9. I believe the Bozzard name has been resurrected and that guns bearing the Bozzard name are once again being produced in the U.K.
