Heading on a road trip next week from Montana to Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska via South Dakota. My itinerary is pretty loose. Any recommendations for good gun shops?

A second vote for Guns Unlimited in Omaha. Excellent prices on supplies also.

Cabelas in Rapid City and Mitchell, SD, and another in La Vista (Omaha), NE. Scheels in Sioux Falls, SD, west Omaha and south Lincoln. Slim pickins for small shops in Lincoln or Omaha.

Above all the big name stores others have listed. I personally would make First Stop in Rapid City the top on my must visit list. First stop in my opinion is what a gun shop should look like. It's an old family ran business that so far has weathered the storm of the big box corporate retail shops. The owner Mark is a great guy and a pleasure to talk to.

Enjoy your trip!

Felix Bedlans shop in Fairbury (a little south west of Lincoln) always has some decent guns. Lots of old Brownings, Parkers, Winchesters and sometimes Brit guns as well. http://www.bedlans.com/

Guns Unlimited can have some decent guns, but usually not. Every once in awhile you'll come across a gem in there, but not all that often.

Thanks again for the recommendations. I should be able to hit most of the places you all have mentioned. It should be fun.
