Anyone have any comments about dealing with them? They seem nice enough on the phone (although a bit hard to get questions answered) but kind of high priced. Pros or cons?

I have dealt with James Wayne and always found him to be honest perhaps a bit high priced but you will not be led astray.

Thanks for the comment (finally after 309 views). I'm not sure about not being led astray. I just noticed yesterday that the used gun I am considering, that has several marks on the wood as well as some case color and blue wear, was being advertised "As New". The price would have been more agreeable if it were indeed "As New." Oh well, at least I didn't have it shipped to me and then discover it was not "As New."

Tried to buy a gun from him about 20-25 years ago. Gun was advertised as "new" or "Mint" (can't remember which). Confirmed the condition on about three different occasions before I had the gun shipped in. It deteriorated badly in shipping. It was a whipped out, off face, bluing gone, dog. Sent it back, but it still cost me shipping and FFL charges. Maybe it's different today, but I'll never try him again
