I am looking for someone to relay a loose bottom rib, recut the maker's name and re-blue the barrels on a best England sidelock. I'd like a reasonable rate with reasonable turn around time. Correct bluing and polishing is paramount. Actual experience working with this smith would be appreciated, no rumors please.

Kirk Merrington comes well recommended by people I trust and did a thoughtful and useful inspectin for me. Ken Eversull is another choice. He does all the H&H work in the US

david yale ( small caps on purpose) started with a Flues grade 2 20 and screwed up the timing on the ejectors. Then I was dumb enough to send him a Fox CE grade 12 that he said he could mono block and make as new. Keep the gun for 1.5 years and never touched ( thank GOD) Got it back and sold it on this forum. Cleaned the rust off first!!! He's a jerk!!!!!!!!
