At Cabela's the other day and real sick and tired of the premium price on 16 gauge shells, even higher than the boxes of 28 Gauge they had. And talk about few and far between, they had at most six boxes of 16 gauge on their shelves.
Of course, tons of 12 and 20's and at great prices so I started looking real hard at those Fausti round body game guns I saw an ad for in the new Double Gun Journal. No heavy duty use just for hunting and some practice at pasture trap.
Does anyone have actual field experience with these guns??

Not round bodies, but the most expensive Fausti double I played with at the show made feel bad. Metal parts fitting was just awfull.

At that price you'd be better off with and RBL,...that way at least you'd be supporting your local trade JMO

Tell you what Treblig-and I saw those gals in the ad too-so the "Round Bodies" do attract attention- Yessiree-. Just as I look for 10 ga. 2 & 7/8" older paper shootable hulls for Market Hunter-I'm retired and visit lotsa "Mom and Pop" out of the way stores, etc=- you let me know what you want in 16 shells and I'll see what I can find- paper or plastic? older 2 9/16" or newer 2 & 3/4". I'm strictly a 12 gauge man- never owned or shot a 16 or a .410. I bought privately a older field grade M12 in 28 ga. mfg. 1940 (for possible doves in Sept. down in Indiana-maybe) and part of the deal was 6 boxes of older Western 28 paper skeet loads- once those are gone, I'm gonna be in your shoes as far as the elevated prices at Cabela's and GM for 16, 28 and .410 as well-One thing I do recall about 16 shells- didn't Federal color code their 16's a dark blue or even purple-good idea--anyway, what I pay is your cost-just the shpg. will be extra- I don't plan to be the "Bernie Madoff" of the shotshell market-RWTF

I tried out one of the Dea Round Bodies. Had no problems with it; they did a good job of keeping the weight down for a 20ga game gun. However, at $4K a pop, they're in a very tough segment of the market. You can get an RBL for less, or an AyA #2 for just a little more--if we're talking strictly new guns here. The less expensive Style, on the other hand, which Cabela's is also handling . . . those, I think, are pretty decent guns for the money. Especially if you catch them at a sale price of $1300 or so.

Took a look at Cabelas-Fausti RB guns. Of cause Tony Galazan RB looks and made much better and it's not about to support local gunmaker, it's about good guns for the money.
I wonder how Fausti sisters can produce sucha cheap looking guns having people say the most modern CNC machinery?
Larry, $1300 for that gun is about right

Geno, $1300 was a sale price for the less-expensive Style model (not round-bodied), not for the Dea.

Thank You Gentlemen, for the information, so there are better deal out there. The Rugers I bought 12 and 28 are not holding up well to the abysmally small amount of shooting I do on the weekends….can't believe it!!

Thank You Mr. Fox, I appreciate your very kind offer!!

Do you guys find 16 gauge hard to find?? Or am I just looking in the wrong places??
