Well maybe not a new dress but at least she is a little more presentable. Thanks to some much needed under rib work by Dennis Potter and a really pretty rust blue by "he who shall not be named" Glenn Fewless the Daly is ready for another 100 years of shooting pleasure.

This is pretty picture intensive but I thought it was worth it to show some before and after pictures. The before pictures make the barrels look worse than they were but the new rust blue makes them look terrific IMO. The dents in the wood and in the checkering came out pretty well and the old rock hard Mershon pad has been replaced by a leather covered one. All in all I'm pleased.

Makes me wish that Lindner made about 50,000 guns instead of the very few that he did make. What a fine looking gun that has been thoughtfully restored for the next 50 years. If not the standard it is certainly worth using as a basic guide to what should be done to a nice gun. Well done.

Darnit, Doug....you're giving me bad ideas about my little 16 gauge Diamond grade. Beautifully and tastefully done!

Beautiful work. Amazing how consciences craftmanship can restore a tired looking relic to its once glorious form. I've seen Doug's work at Ken Hurst's and it can't be improved upon. Glenn did some mechanical work for me and the gun is like new. We have to admire these guys.

This really is a wonderful little gun. It is a light piece, well balanced and very "live" in the hands. The engraving is just wonderful. I would swear it is English. Having seen the before and after up close and personal I must say the transformation is truly remarkable.

It is just amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do...
