Took delivery of a 28 RBL yesterday. I like what I have with one exception. The top lever is in a extremely pronounced right position when assembled. I have experienced many of my SXS OUs with slight right positions, but nothing this extreme. Called CSMC and they said don't worry, it will migrate closer to center/slight right after around 200 rounds. I said I would give it a go, but told them the asthetics suck. Any similar experience from other RBL owners? Do they work back in to a more normal position after a reasonable period of use?

All mine are to the right some. Shoot the gun and clean the grease from locking lugs and bolt and lightly oil the surfaces. It should break in after use. If not they will correct it. Bobby

Mine was well to the right when I got it. After 500 rounds the gun was off face and the lever was left of center. Sent it in to have it fixed and they sent it back with the wrong forend. I couldn't even get it on the gun not to mention the wood grain looked like a 2x4. They finally got it right and the lever is now dead center after 2000 rounds. Best-JB

I hate to say it but they cant make everyone happy. You know Tony would have gotten twice as much flak if he sent them out dead center and told everyone they would stay tight, then 200 rounds later is to the left of center. At least theres a double being made in America today!

When I received my RBL 28 I noticed that the top lever was right of center quite a bit but I assumed it would work its way toward the middle. Didn't bother me. I haven't shot it enough to find out if it will. What does bother me a little is something that will not resolve itself. The checkering on the left side was not cleanly done. I was told this happens when the laser cutter is not properly indexed. It's very noticeable but I'm still happy with the gun. I didn't pay 50k, 20k or even 5k for it and I'm not dissapointed that I didn't get more than I paid for.

Thanks for the feedback. For the record, other than the top lever position I am very satisfied with the gun. Wood fit, metal fit, wood quality, balance, handling, POI, regulation, etc are all good. I wouldn't hesitate buying it again. Just needed some feedback on similar RBLs and shooting in the lever, as I have never had one start out that far to the right in my years of shooting break-open guns. Its current position detracts from an otherwise asthetically pleasing gun.

Mine is alittle right of center. I really like how my 28 came out. They did a nice job and i did get to shoot 5 boxes through it before I came to this place. When I get back I have several flats of Estates waitign and some 5 stand to do.
I just got a 20 RBL before I left and havent shot it yet. That will be then enxt one to do.
