Ithaca is producing the model 37 pump gun with hand engraving and it looks pretty nice. Anyone had experience with the newly manufactured Ithacas? Reliable? Well made? Thank you for the imput.

Doubletrubble thanks for the 411. As far as a pump gun is concerned it does cost quite a bit. However, considering that it is hand engraved and that you get AA Juglans Nigra on the stock, it may not be a bad deal for $1600.00. Of course, you can more than double that price if you order gold birdies with it, but they have never been my fancy.
I am glad that that you told me they have a good product and good service. I just may have to buy one of these and test it for the board.
In talking with Ithaca they said they are also going to reintroduce the NID. This got me excited because their custom shop seems VERY eager to make your dreams come true. I just hope it is appropriately priced. I would need it to be in the $2-3K range for the base model if I were to use it as a base for a custom gun project. any higher and it would become cost prohibitive with the addition on engraving and wood porn. Thanks again for the info.

I got my 37 from them 3 years ago and they were saying they were going to re-release the NID then. Glad to see they are still talking about it at least. They are SUPER nice people over there. What other gun company could you call and actually talk to the owner? I say go for it. You won't regret it.
