Early this fall, at lunch break during a grouse hunt, three friends and I gathered for lunch on the shores of a northcountry lake. While there, I took this photo.

Only a single gun shown (Sauer Model 8 in 16-bore; built in 1911), but how many times have you shot a pair each of ruffed, sharp-tailed, and ruffed grouse in a single woods? Ben my viszla sure enjoyed it. Will not comment on percentage of these birds taken while in flight!
