Would nitro special barrels be interchangable from one frame to another. I have a 95% nitro special 12 ga. with 30" barrels for turkey. Am looking at a 26" set for upland. I did not know if they would require fitting or not.

To the best of my limited knowledge, you can not simply grab a set of barrels. They have to be fitted to the receiver.

As for the Nitro's. I do not know if they under went any design changes over the years.

The chances of finding a second set of barrels that will just go right on your first gun is small. That said, it is not that hard to fit a second set, much easier if you have a second forend. Trial and error to find a second set that is close but most are not that far off.

Thank you Pete and KY Jon. I think I will give it a try.

Thanks again,
