I got a line on an antique Scott crystal sidelock.
The plates shape is the standard variety,not the nice curvy ones.
Its silvered out with some wear to the engraving,but no obliteration.
The funky bit is... it was rebarreled in ww2 germany,by whom I not know-its unmarked ,but looks as good as any out there.
Tight on face shooter grade gun,the buttstock has a couple splices in the comb and butt,DT`s,SG,12ga 2.5".
Barrels touch,etc.,at 26"
Seller has it listed at 995.
Serviceable clunker parts gun? or what?

If everything is sound, I don't see how you get hurt under $1000 depending on grade.

What grade? Pics?

I'd mention my Scott hammergun that was rebarreled in Prussia but jOe would probably have to make a snide comment. ;-)

The grade,dont know,but it is engraved almost 100pct scrolls etc.
Prussia eh? I must check the date code on the barrels,the dealer says between 1940-44,his guesstimate,maybe no code during nazi period.

I posted about this gun on another thread. It was hard to pass up. I'm sure it is home with a happy new owner.

You wouldn't like the pictures, but I liked the gun in person. The new owner will probably have to post pictures.
