Was there possibly an American middle man who imported barrels from Europe to be resold and used in the American gun manufacturing trade? Put another way; Is there any evidence in the Parker,or L C Smith records for example that shows they directly imported damascus barrels? Jim The 2nd Amendment IS an unalienable right.

Fils is "son" and would not be used on its own, nor as just "Fils & Co." Were it from a francophone country, it would be followed by their abbreviation for Compagnie - Cie. Nor do I agree with Italian SxS above, I believe that it is an anglo gun, as the typeface for "Co" is a standard English abbreviation. Rs K.
