I ordered in January from a rumor here and was told "Two and a half months" - giggle, giggle. I was annoyed about having to pay in full and not getting the thing in anywhere near the promised delivery date. However, it's pretty nice looking. I read the picture posting tutorial and I'm a few days away from conquering that, lol.
Double triggers, beavertail, 3X wood and I did end up ordering the Leupold detachable scope. I know nothing but the wood looks really good to me. The strap at the muzzle is, I think, unattractive. Good fit, cheesy plastic case but nice snap caps.
I'm an avid bowhunter, but I just might take this out for Ohio gun season and gun hunt for whitetails the first time this century. I'm not sure why I bought it; I just thought it was a really good idea. I'm going to call next week and see what ammo they recommend. It's going to really hurt when I (almost for sure) scratch and dent the stock.
Anybody have any idea how many of these they are making? I don't know how their serial #s work, but mine is almost 5000???
I'll work on the photo thing next week...

Sounds like you got a really nice gun. I am contemplating getting a 12 gauge maybe at the first of the year, if there are any left. I will have to check and see. But anyway, good luck with your new gun.

Thanks for the kind words. I was waiting to see what "3X" wood looked like and I was very happy comparing it to my Ruger Gold Label and Merkel 1620 (looks many multiples better than the Ruger and nicer than the Merkel). I went to their site to look into ordering an RBL 12 and noticed that the Professional is "sold out". I wonder how many (or few) they made and why they stopped the run so soon.
Any Galazan experts out there to render an opinion? I'm very curious, because this seems the perfect gun for the many "shotgun only" states and, say, hogs, etc. if one wants something nicer than a Remington.

There was one for sale a couple of weeks ago at a local show. Had a chance to handle to gun. It did seem very nice. The laser engraving was not unpleasant, not great, but livable for me. If I was still hunting deer here, it just might have followed me home.

Per some Galazan folks talking discreetly about the Professional - "Kicks the daylights out of you."

Let us know what you think after a few rounds.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me at all. Haven't shot it yet. I called today and they were proofed with either Remington copper sabots or Winchester sabots, both shooting 5/8oz slugs @ 1400-1500 fps. Of course, if I shoot this 3 times a year, that would be a lot (after sighting in). I'm really only nuts about archery, but I always liked side by sides and had been looking for a rifled SXS slug gun off and on for several years. I also verified they are "sold out", I'm guessing due to a lack of interest and/or switching over to making the new over/under. After seeing the 3X wood on this gun, I ordered an RBL 12 gauge today while talking with Carol: 30", PG, BT, SST, vent rib and exhibition walnut (she said they have some beautiful blanks). She also said "two and a half months". I laughed this time. That must be their only time frame?
I'll let you know about the kick after I shoot it if I can still move my arm to type...

I ordered my RBL 28 on July 8, after they had stopped production of components for these guns. I actually called to order a couple of butt pads, but when they told me the RBL 28 could be done in about three weeks, I fell for it. It's now late September and still no word on it, even though I have called a couple of times to follow up. My RBL 20 took 26 months.

I waited 8 months for the Professional. I don't expect this RBL 12 until sometime next year. I didn't really need it for anything, so I'm not going to sweat it this time. I'll be happy if I have it for spring sporting clays.
Good luck on your 28...

Keadog, Shoot the damn thing and let us know what it's like for accuracy, recoil, point of aim, barrel convergence, trigger pulls and your general opinion.
This is the only RBL I had even a mild interest in. I think it a great idea but don't know what I'd do with one in MT?? We can shoot deer with anything from a cross-bow to a handgun.
