I'm trying to put a price on a Baker Single Barrel trap Sterling Model in good condition with wear that would be typical for a gun that saw good use back in the day. I should be able to get pictures tomorrow, but until then I'm just looking for some real rough ball park numbers to gauge what is typical on these neat guns.

Any help from you Baker guys would be aprreciated

There are a few different types of SBT guns. The early ones had octagon barrels and I think they are worth more. Id say a typical 70-80 percent gun would be worth around 1K. Ive seen and bought the later type guns for 7-800. I paid 1200 for a early gun.

Well, I got it without handling it but got to look at a few photos. Pretty much as described but with a poorly fixed crack in the forend that can easily be remedied.

32" inch barrel, straight grip. Pointing dog engraved on each side of the action with scroll on the sides, top and thumb lever. I do not think I did too bad for $650! I took a chance, if I do not like it I'm sure I could get my money out of it easy enough.

Maybe someday, I can add a Baker SBT to my meager Baker collection. Nice going..

Thanks Dave, I'm still regretting selling a 16 gauge Batavia Leader that I had about 8 years ago. Now I have a Baker back in my meager stable of guns.
