Its not the money, London's big four pre-enjoyed guns sell for at least three times the reserve price everyday.
So, you don't have to be a player.
One has to wonder if these non-Fox, Parker and LCs have a glass ceiling.
I wouldn't buy it to find out!

Every once in awhile I go there for another look at the 4E Crass with the chain damascus. The reserve hunt was on with that one at first listing but interest has cooled. On the current Columbian Exposition gun, the "not Fox, Parker, Lefever" in header appears to support our advertising broadside thesis.

Great looking gun, rough photos though. One would think if you were dealing in quality guns you'd have a quality photographer.

That seems to be a butt plate used on several of the various makers higher end guns. Its on the C. William Haywood E-Grade Philadelphia Arms Co. gun shown in The Double Gun Journal, Volume Two, Issue 1. I think that is the gun Jim Malone entered in the GMC at the Vintage Cup a few years back.
