Has anybody tested Tugsten Super Shot or UNA 18 super heavy pellets? I have not yet, but hunting friends have shot foxes, hares, roedeers and so on at 50-70 yards distances with 2,5mm (No. 7)pellets. Their penetration is unbelievable and patterns very tight and symmetrical. Hunters load TSS/UNA cartridges themselves, because factory loads are not available (in Finland). They use double wads to protect barrels against scratches of hard pellets. Open chokes are suitable (super tight patterns)and there are special made screw-in chokes for TSS/UNA 18. http://www.tungstensupershot.comhttp://www.unlimitedammo.fi

Tuomo:
I note that TS website very blatantly warns against using their shot in barrels which cannot stand being scratched.
How about Unlimited? Their site is in Finnish- unfortunately my command of the language is limited- cant tell what they say about barrel safety.

They also mention something about using it only in guns with "replaceble barrels"...that gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Finnish Unlimited Ammo recommend to use under 4 millimeter pellets and double wads for protection of barrels. I would not use them in Purdey from 1880´s, but cheap pump guns like Remington or Mossberg are ok. My frieds use Benellis with UNA special screw-ins (light modified) and no scratches in the barrels. They use light 32 grams (1 1/8 oz)loads, but speed is over 450 m/s (1.500 fps). Unlimited Ammo produce too 5 and 6 millimeter UNA 18 pellets, but they are very dangerous, like fistful of .22 LR bullets on air.
