I have been at the SCI event for the past couple of days. It is my first time and I was like a kid in a candy store. I spent some significant time at the Connecticut Shotgun booth/area. I probably should have been arrested for lusting after sooooo many wonderfull guns - especially SxS's.

Here are a few photos - enjoy:

Fair enough, those are definately extreme examples of how far the "art" of a SxS can be taken.

Here is an A.H. Fox project still in the white. It is a 16 gauge that started life as a Sterlingworth. Mr. Robert Strosin is the stocker, metal worker and engraver on this project. The pheasant is in copper and gold. the action will be finished in french gray. Mr. Strosin said it is one of a matched set of three (12, 16, & 20). I am a sucker for 16's, so this really appealed to me.

I liked all of 'em!

Might not shoot rabbits with them from the back of a pickup but would be proud to show up with any one of them at gun club or an easy terrain bird hunt.

Best,

Mike

Did CSMC have the pimp right there in the booth, or was he lurking somewhere else?

If there is a definition of too much, this is it. Incredible that they could fit that much "flash" on a gun. Just doesn't excite me. Looks like Tiffany drank way too much and didn't pass out soon enough when working on them. I am not a huge fan of CSMC to begin with, but I guess I prefer the originals, much like the remake Shelby's vs. an original.

Awwww, HECK.

Beats lookin' at Nancy Pelosi.

However, the presence of well-executed craftsmanship does not necessarily warrant a corresponding amount of taste in it's commission.
