I had ordered an RBL professional last year (that seemed to take forever to get) with 3X wood. When I received it, wow! Beautiful wood. I had been waiting to see the wood before ordering an RBL 12 and called to order one soon after. Ordered the 12 with exhibition grade wood upgrade. It arrived the end of December and the wood, although nice, did not appear to be "exhibition" grade to me. Oh well. Subjective, I guess. Shot a round of 100 sporting clays and when cleaning it, I noticed that the beavertail was already rubbing the bluing off of part of the right barrel and the recoil pad had slipped. Called and Adam said "send it back", which I did when I could get out of work before the UPS hub closed. I hadn't heard anything and I knew it had been delivered last Thursday. I called today and Adam said they had looked at it, decided it was "high grade 4X" wood and that they were restocking it for me, which would take a little longer.
So far, I'm impressed that they took my complaint seriously. No, I don't even feel like "should have been right the first time". I told him that without the other problems, I would have just kept it and not been totally happy, so I was "glad" I had the minor problems.
I'll report back when my exhibition wood arrives.
