Yes, there's a solution sold by these guys. http://www.winrest.com/

I have a bottle and have only used it on a damascus sample section.

In the sample below, you can see it has a nice blueish color instead of the more black look of some solutions.

Having seen barrels rusted with this solution, would it look appropriate on a Fox?

I couldn't really say. I haven't really had much experience with orginal blue on a Fox. Possibly someone like Researcher, Silvers, Gregtag, eightbore and others may be able to compare Fox blue vs. Winchester blue

Chuck, the contrast in that barrel section is outstanding. You did that just from a rust blue?

That was a rust blue of about half dozen times followed by diluted ferric chloride etch baths and carding with very fine steel wool. 3-4 rusts and boilings, then etch, then do it again.
