Definitely OT. Planned a vacation to Fort Lauderdale to golf and visit my son. However my shoulder Doc won't allow the golf. Are there any good gunshops, gunshows, gunshoots etc available in that area next week? THANKS, OLDER DOC

See when the Lakeland show is. It's HUGE. On the west coast there is a place called deer hunter that is a great little shop.

I've been down here as well, freezing my butt and bitching about the fishing. Completed all the "honey-dos" and bored out of my gourd.
Florida has a lot of "west coast". Where the heck is the "Deer Hunter"? Is it actually a gun shop and not a collection of used AK-47's and their derivatives?

No. Deer hunter is a small shop in Clearwater run by a bunch of great old school guys. No assault guns there. Also another in Dunedin is Coles. Castle Keep in Largo is good too, but has some black guns. Of course it all may have changed since I moved away form FL 3 tears ago

Dave Riffle is a dealer in Ft Meyers,FL that I've bought from in the past. On the west coast as well. He seems to have a selection of good to high end doubles, Win 42's, Win M12's, 21's, and other interesting guns. Don't have an address, but a phone.
