I've seen that rifle someplace before but not where it is now. I wish the pictures were better, still it looks like a nice Adolph.

I am assuming Ralf Martini is either a founder or owner and am disappointed he would drill and tap that rifle. It's hard to tell from the pictures but the trigger group appears original Oberndorf. I can't tell if the bolt is pear shaped. The checkering is interesting.

I've done a bit of research on the rifle and found it in my stuff. The rifle originally had a Adolph-King scope mount or something like that with four holes in the front receiver ring. I'll try to post a picture.

I'm disappointed to see the Talley hole placed squarely in the middle of the receiver's top locking lug. Not only disappointed but somewhat unpleasantly amazed since that sort of placement is not normally considered to be 'best' work. Perhaps the owner was fixated on one of the modern short-coupled scopes with their limited placement options. Whatever the reason, it's not something I would choose to do. Regards, Joe

Michael, Do you have a picture of a Adolph-King scope mount ? I have a early model 30 that has holes in the front like that.

I think that every Adolph mount is different many have the holes on just one side. I'll look and see what I have. I've also seen holes like this on the mount that was made much later in Boston but can't think of the name. It's more then likley the one that was on the Remington 30.
I think it's G.N Albree the mounts went under the name Mon-O-Mount and Twin Mon-O-Mount.
