Best wishes to you in the disposition of your nice double guns, Mike. Glad you posted, it has been a long time!

Did I overlook a link to Mike's vintage doubles for sale? When I go to the Olathe Gun Shop website I can't seem to find them. I'm probably overlooking the obvious, again.

Stan, the best way I’ve found to see Mike’s extensive collection is to go to one of his listings on GB and then click on “Seller’s Other Items”.

(Update: Just took a look on GB and I see none of his listings. Maybe he’s already pulled them down. Usually there were 25-30 pages of listings. I regularly travel back and forth across the Midwest on I-70 and a stop into Mike’s “Gun Room” is a highlight. You walk through the Olathe Gun Shop to the addition at the back and step into another age. This a real loss to the double gun fraternity.)

Mike has several Reilly's. He sold a couple over the years, the last one I recall (because I follow them) was to I believe "Old Colonel" on this board. Every time I asked Mike a question about these guns for my own research, he responded with information and extensive photos and his advertisements, I believe, had some of the best photos and most information available in one go on the internet.

I can’t imagine the time, effort, and money that went into amassing a pile of guns like that. All the best to him.

Thanks for the compliments. I still have 588 listed on GB and will be listing another 40 or so. I have put about 100 in the shop on consignment, so still worth a stop and I am glad to meet anyone with an interest in anything I have. Go to Side x Side shotguns on GB and then to see other auctions and it will bring up more than you probably want to see. The prices are a starting point. I can change any auction to a "buy it now" when we agree on terms.

I have 3 or 4 Reillys left including a super neat hammer gun. In the same vain, I also have a couple of outstanding Williams and Powells and 2 MF Kennedys that deserve a great home.

I've gone through your listings on Gunbroker (which I seldom look at because I'd somehow concluded that they didn't have much of what I might be interested in, that'll teach me!). You have a remarkable assortment of firearms listed there. Just going through the listings had me learning a bunch of new things so...thank you for that. If I ever find myself near to Kansas City (well, Olathe)...I'll try to stop by.

I was just finishing up at the bench after a morning at the range when my wife came in with a box. I knew Mike has had an early 16b Ithaca that I would have loved to have but it was way beyond my means, so much so that I didn’t even “check” on it. Well, that gun is now laying on the bench in front of me. 😎

If you haven’t looked through his collection on GB, you should. And if you see something that you’ve always wanted but couldn’t afford. You might be able to now.
