Mike,

Welcome. Hope you stick around.

The CZ's get great reviews from most users. I have handled them. They seem OK to me. They will most likely never appreciate in value. They do fill a void and are reasonably priced.

Pete

I had one in 28 gauge. It doubled right out of the box. It was light and the barrels shot to the same point. They make a Bobwhite with double triggers.

Best,

Mike

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum!! If you want opinions on this gun, it's sister the Bobwhite and any other Turk gun go to:

www.shotgunworld.com

They have a subforum dedicated to Huglu Guns or do a search.

You're going to get a lot of pro and cons. Get set to read a lot, there are a ton of posts!

Again, welcome to the forum and good luck in your quest!!

All the best!

Greg

Early guns had their troubles but I think they have worked the issues out. From what I see, many of the negative posters on the various forums either are talking about some of the first guns that came out, or are talking out of their rear end to look like an internet expert (not talking about you Mike). There are faulty guns in any brand, and first production runs tend always have some issues. CZ has good QC and has been very good at fixing any problems that were happening to customers. Orvis now imports the Ringneck under their name for a good deal more money. I have shot a Bobwhite for 6 years and my wife has shot a Ringneck for the last 3 years. I have fancier guns, but enjoy having the CZs to use in harsh conditions. I have in excess of 10,000 rounds through mine and it still locks up tight. I shoot a lot of clays with it and hunt in excess of 40 days each fall with it. I have shot geese to Bobwhite with it and it has been flawless. They are on the heavy side but I like to use mine for waterfowl so it works fine for me. The smaller gauges (4-10, 28 and 20ga) are fairly light guns. Below are some photos of the guns. They are a gun for using and should not be compared against high end guns, which is often the case in doubles. Its like comparing a Remington 870 to a Purdy. For the price I think they are a good value.

I really like the used look that gun is taking on-it sure looks like you get out and put it through it's paces!
Congratulations on what seems to have been a good buy.

Best,
Ted

Yes, there are good ones and not so good. I have owned maybe five Huglu made SXSs. Had trouble with only one; a Dehaan SO 20 DT (same as a Bobwhite only bead blast receiver); right sear won't cock.
Single trigger reliability? I may have lucked out, but I have a Huglu S1 single trigger (Same gun as a Ringneck but has a different dress on). It is a 2001 and a silky smooth safety/selector with no problems at all.
Also have a Huglu S2 20 ga(same basic gun as a Ringneck) made in 2002; again, silky smooth trouble free safety/selector. Man is that a sweet gun!
