Tittle says it all. I realize this is a long shot but thought I would try.

I am in the process of putting together a target style 1903 Springfield with a heavy barrel. I have been looking for a stock with a 2.5 or 3 inch wide forearm that isn't laminated but am not having much luck.

Does anyone have such a thing or know where one might be for sale?

Oh for the days when you could buy a stock from Herters, Inc with enough extra wood on it to make practically any style stock desired.

Try Larry Racine at http://www.lprgunsmith.com/index.asp. He gunsmiths for the Palma team and was a good buddy of Creighton Audette. He certainly goes back to the days when pre64s were favored over the course rifles and maybe even to the end of the 1903 period. Never can tell what he might have laying about in his shop. And he knows everyone in the big bore community.
