HI, JUST PICKED UP AN ITHACA 5E SER. # 454405. ANYBODY KNOW THE YEAR IT WAS MADE? AND YES I WILL GET SNYDERS BOOK AT THE HARRISBURG GUN SHOW IN SEPT. THANKS, JEFF

THANKS, I MIGHT JUST DO THAT. THIS GUN IS 95% ORIGINAL, GREAT WOOD, VERY NICE BLUE, 32" BARRELS, VENT RIB, SINGLE TRIGGER (I WOULD PREFER DOUBLE TRIGGERS), ORIGINAL BUTTPLATE. I BOUGHT IT FROM AN OLDER FRIEND AT OUR CLUB WHO HAD OWNED IT FOR AT LEAST 35 YRS. AND NEVER SHOT IT. MAYBE I'LL TAKE IT TO THE VINTAGE CUP AND SHOOT IT THERE! SHOT IT LAST NIGHT AT A ROUND OF TRAP, GUN DOWN AND BROKE 19, NO BAD AFTER SHOOTING MY BERETTA UNSINGLE. THANKS, JEFF

hi, looking at my 5E closley there is no mention of ITHACA ON THE BARRELS OR THE VENT RIB, THEY ARE # TO THE GUN, HAVE FLAMING BOMB PROOFS, SAY BEST FLUID STEEL, HAVE P OVER BP BEHIND FOREARM LUG AND A 5 ON BARREL FLATS ABOUT 1" BEHIND SER.#. AS STATED THEY ARE 32" CHOKED IM &IM SO SAYS MY GALAZAN CHOKE CHECK, ALSO THE CHAMBERS ARE SLIGHTLY LONGER THAN 2 3/4 BUT NOT 3". ANY MORE INFO WOULD HELP. NOT A BIG ITHACA FAN ( HAVE FOX & PARKER ) BUT THIS WAS TO NICE TO PASS UP. THANKS, JEFF
