OP BIRDSHOOTER Sidelock Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 91 N CENTRAL PA.	HAVE A 5E NID WITH A BEAVERTAIL FOREARM, SORRY TO ALL YOU ITHACA FANS BUT THIS IS A DAMN UGLY FOREARM. GUN WAS MADE IN 1928. I REALIZE HAND FITTING WAS DONE ON THESE GUNS BUT I WANT A SPLINTER FOREARM. ANYBODY HAVE ONE FOR SALE THAT I COULD TAKE TO MY GUNSMITH AND HAVE FITTED? ANY OTHER IDEAS? I WANT TO KEEP THE BEAVERTAIL JUST NOT LOOK AT IT. THANKS, JEFF N Central PA NRA Endowment

I HAVE BOTH FOX AND PARKER GUNS WITH BEAVERTAILS, DON'T LIKE EITHER OF THEM BUT THEY ARE A LOT BETTER LOOKING THAN THE ITHACA. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I DON'T LIKE BEAVERTAILS AT ALL!! You must sell me all your Ithacas NOW before the disease spreads. Doctors orders. Birdshooter, Unfortunately I can't be there this year. But I can send money!! I do like beavertail fore ends, especially after about 50 rounds. I will probably be in Pa this fall. (family in Pittsburgh and Rochester, NY). E-mail your location and perhaps we ca get together.
