Cause they've finally figured out that Parker is by far and away the best designed and built double gun ever made! Took 'em long enough.....

Hmm, thought there might be a move toward divestiture even north of the Payday Loan League. Cabellas' huge inventory of "sheep" guns (Fox SW) and rebadged Faustis (Weatherby Athenas) points that way also. So long as no one jumps WITH her Parker, everything will be OK probably.

Bobby, as you know, I had reason to work on a replacement right sear and right hammer notch in a Trojan I bought recently. Sear and hammer removal and replacement was straitforward (with a few nudges in the right direction) but the cocking toggle and hook and that whatsis under the triggerplate left me with no reason whatsoever by the time I got it back together. Only gun I've seen that needs the barrels to be taken off and put on upside down.

Expensive Bruchet on Barnett's tables at Vintage Cup, Ted. Had SPC serial and a loooong stock. Price of 14.5 said don't pick it up and ding it! Didn't see the Darnes someone mentioned here but did see a couple of dogtired Manufrenchies, one with a brass snap shackle for a sling disconnent. Talked to M. Gournet from "Crayola City." Missed our friend "Salopian" as didn't come over this yr.

If it actually said Bruchet on the opening lever, that would be an odd bird-they only marked them like that for a few years. 14.5 for a used Darne is a bit off the hook, JMHO, but, I've been out of it for a while-I never got that much for a new one, for what it's worth. If a Darne doesn't fit, don't buy it. Most of them, don't.
Best, Ted

I went back to write down the hangtag info for Gournet after talking to him. I was on the muzzle side of the table and I didn't even look at the toggle so don't know how marked. Hangtag said Bruchet.
