How do i determin the grade of my Ithica double 16ga. ser# s383177? It has an F on the watertable over the 16. A 4 and a two stamped on the barrel flats Top of barrels say Smokeless Powder Steel made in USA. Rear barrel lug has what looks like Nitro Pow and thats all i can see of that and also on barrel flat is stamped a large D as the base of the extractor. And i have never seen the letter S in front of an Ithaca ser#.
Thanks
Tommy

It is a late Flues because of the serial number. Don't know about the S.

Thanks. Went and shot some clays with it today. Shot RST Paper-Lite 7/8oz. #8's. Love the smell of paper, it brings back memories of when i first started hunting with my father at six. It shoots better than i can hit. This may be my new bird gun for chukar and phesant. Really pulls up nice on my.
Thanks again.

you have one of the most underated and unpriced classic american double guns. keep your loads light and your stock screws tight and it will serve you well.
keep it simple and keep it safe...

It is a late Flues because of the serial number. Don't know about the S. Walt, what are the serial dividing lines for Ithaca models?
