I have an old Belgium made shotgun,prior to 1922 that I have been commissioned to restock. I was trying to find photos, catalogs, or? that would show me the typical checkering on these guns, or any other info, leads,etc.

This is not a fine collectors gun as the stock is broken and it is very rusted, The inside of the barrels are very bright though. It has not been taken care of well.

However,the owner would like it restocked to make a shooter out of it and pass it down to his only son. His grandfather brought it back after WWII.

Thanks Daryl.I had a partial on that site.
Pete. Thanks.That is what I needed. Although the action on this one looks slightly different.The checkering looks the same on the pistol grip, but this one has a 3 line border in places with lotsa over runs. Maybe someone refinished the stock at one time

Glad to help out. My experience of the Raick guns is that we see many are poor examples. Perhaps we never see the high end guns here. I am not surprised to hear about over runs. I hope the owner appreciates your efforts.
