Minwax Spar Urethane varnish, uncut for about 5 coats to fill pores and then cut about 20% with Tung oil, applied and wiped dry.About 10 coats.

Needs to cure for about a month now and then polish outwith rottenstone.

I am still learning

Very nice work from what little detail this photograph shows, especially the finish. But it looks great from a distance...

Very nice, what I particularly like is that you raised the comb without it showing at the head of the comb (right behind where your thumb wraps around).
I sold a Parker of mine several years ago to a friend and he sent it out to a very well known Parker smith to be restocked to more modern dimensions and all they did was raise the comb. I wish he'd told me his plans so that I could have interceded, I'm certain I could have gotten a better job done for far less money then he paid.

Usually the drop at the comb does not vary too much on differnt fittngs, for me anyway. I have four doubles right now. A Raick Freres pre 1900, a Fox 1918 that has been restocked with a Richards after market, a Fox, 1938 which I restocked and this Ithaca. All are within an 1/8" of drop at the comb, but drop at the heel varies from 2"3/4,2&5/8, 2&1/2 and this Ithaca of 2&1/4" respectively. I wanted this Ithaca to shoot a little higher.

The location of the comb from the end of the action varies about an inch.

Unfortunately ,all came to me with broken stocks, so collector value is much lesl. However, I use them except for the Belgium
