Dave is 100% right Vic. I had a few plane rides this week, so I brought Gun Craft to read again. The combination of clear explanations on some (to me) complex topics, combined with a low-key style and some funny stories really make that book a pleasure to read. I laugh out loud every time I read Dryhurst's response to you calling a G-Gun a boxlock. I can just feel those couple seconds of tension before he, I'm sure, attempts to bite his tongue and reply in a gentlemanly fashion.....
Of course, without guys like CrossChisles and other untold craftsmen, there'd be nothing to read because there'd be nothing to write about. So, all in all, I'd say we're rather lucky in this little corner of the DGJ world.
Vic,YOU are the leader of the "Younger Generation" of writers who are able to explain the Intricacies of the Inner Sanctum with clear and concise language, and you are just '40'!!!All the Hrs that you have spent in the"Real Gunmakers" Workshops is going to pay off now that YOUR book,"GUN CRAFT" is picking up 'Steam'..."mmci" told me he was excited for you..
