WJL hit the only reason for doing such a total custom job: it's a handsome action.
As to the whole shotgun/pistol Goblin-repellent idea, I witnessed one of the first local T-Judges being shot at old barn siding. Waste of shotshell lead, so far as any significant penetration. And .45 Colt is a LOT handier in ordinary revolvers.
So, the real issue is about re-making the subject 'revolver' into late-19th century target-rifle rifle-caliber, with custom length bbl, sights, shoulder stock, etc in a 'buggy rifle' set-up, like those percussion versions so beloved by John Amber. Any good 'Golden Age' small-medium game bore/case/caliber should do it. Donnely, the USFA pres, is just missing a whole new market here.
It wasn't my original idea, but I think the talents present could turn out a real stunner that would take the "Off The Wall" First Prize at any Custom Gun Show. Just remember to include a Bisley hammer.
Never get tired of the great work and guns that appear at this site. However, this USFA appeared near enuff to April Fools Day, in order to induce this bit of whimsy, with just a bit of real wishing, thrown in.
Trust that it cracked a speculative smile, here 'n there.
