Shoppin for a friend and this hijos de victor aramberri 12 bore ejector has been offered. I would say overall condition is close to excellent. I do not know the first thing about this maker so any help is appreciated .... we do not need to make a big deal about this so is it worth the asking price or not ... tks in advance for all opinions. Hi, short answer is no. This maker made low to mid grade guns. While in good shape the price IMO should be between $600-800.

CAI has imported quite a few lower end Spanish guns, and this might be one of them. Look for an engraved SN and CAI on the gun.

Good Luck!

All the best!

Greg

I've bought several guns from Thad Scott, who I regret to remember, is deceased. He simply imported guns of good quality, and occasionally of VERY good quality.

I agree the gun is about $800.

From many years of dealing with Thad Scott, I predict he would have sold this gun for about $400 when he was with us. He worked on a very low markup for average guns.

Well, you probably knew him better than I, and you're probably closer to the true worth of the gun. I never bought anything from Thad for as little as $400. I remember he had a H&K (Fabarms) double new for about $800 or $100. I certainly miss doing business with him.

I'd stay away from a $1500 sidelock of any make...

Or, a quality sidelock can't be made for $1500.
