Found an H. Barella 12ga. sxs today. Scalloped back boxlock with side clips and cocking indicators, on top, just behind the breech balls. Case colors perfect, nice wood with cheek piece, and ebony(?) inlays on the forend tip and just behind both 'tear drops' behind the action. Nice engravings, Barrels stamped 'Nitro', blued, 28”, not damascus.I'd say the gun is in 95% condition, a little to nice of a gun for a bad weather hunt.
Sorry no pics. Asking $2,500. They suggested it is a $6000 gun if new?
I tried to research it and found that he made guns in the 1890’s ?? Thinking this is an early Sauer with his name on it?
Any thoughts on price being in the ball park?
