i shall soon find myself in sea island for a vacation. are there any gun related spots of interest to visit? has anyone shot the rainbow island sporting course? is it nice, friendly? thanks in advance. tom mc

D. Lee Braun used to teach skeet shooting there. I hope the club is still there. Google it and see.

Sea Island was Fred Missildine's venue. He was an instructor of American skeet at the Sea Island club. Apparently, the club and shooting school is alive and well.

Fred Missildine taught me how to shoot skeet. His book is outstanding for a beginner. I wonder if there are copies of his book still available, as I lost mine many moons ago? It is well worth reading if you want to learn to shoot skeet!

The number for the Sea island Gun Club is 912-638-3611. They have skeet, trap, 5-stand and sporting ranges.

Never shot there, so can't recommend it.
