I just purchased a Hunter Special 20 gauge. I also have a 12 gauge Hunter Special. I have researched the web and found out there were 5814 12 gauges built from 1937-1945(the only years they were made) and 1777 16 gauges built in same time period, but I have been unable to find out how many 20 gauges were made. Can anyone tell me the number of 20 gauges made?

I have a 20g Fulton. I forget what the difference between the Fulton and Hunter Special was. Was it ejectors and generally better wood?

The Hunter Specials were made with LC Smith barrels that utilized the LC rotary bolt.

This is the Fulton Special with a doodle on this side and quail on the other side. Like the Fulton, it does not have the rotary bolt like only the Hunter Special had.

Fulton special

I seem to recall one of our members that was a Hunter Special/Fulton enthusiast, mentioned ejectors on some of the guns. I went to a gunshow with him once in OC and he bought a Hunter 16g which I thought had ejectors.

I think Chuck and Dudley are patronizing the same clinic. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
