I wonder if this is available in NonToxic or 2.5"?
Cool Video: http://www.hornady.com/ammunition/zombiemaxHornady Zombie Max ammunition is NOT a toy (IT IS LIVE AMMUNITION), but is intended only to be used onZOMBIES, also known as the living dead, undead, etc. No human being, plant, animal, vegetable or mineral should ever be shot with Hornady Zombie Max ammunition. Again, we repeat, Hornady Zombie Max ammunition is for use on ZOMBIES ONLY, and that's not a nickname, phrase or cute way of referring to anybody, place or thing. When we say Zombies, we meanZOMBIES!

Product ads in this country have been written by idiots for some time now. This is just another example. You can't even watch a ball game on TV anymore without commercials that are absolute nonsense. In many cases when the ad is over you won't even know who the ad was for. We know who this one is for, but as to why, that's anyone's guess. Stupid. But, then, your mileage may vary.

I agree about most ads today, but don't take this too seriously. Sure it's dumb, but it's just a little Halloween fun.

The older guys may remember a simpler time, but everyone under the age of 40 has been marketed to, literally, every day of their life. As such, they have developed an ability to block out all advertising. It takes something interesting and novel to catch their attention. And, sometimes that means losing the product features or even the name of the company or product.
Zombies seem to be a popular theme right now, and so Hornady has put together a little ad which is amusing and at least gets their name out there. Outlandish, yes, but what would you prefer, an annoying jingle? An over-paid "celebrity" endorsement?

I would prefer a televised commercial that doesn't show one human with guns shooting at and killing other humans without. That's right, other humans.
OK, so they are portrayed as "zombies" but they are still human beings, just of a different sort. Before you get the flamethrower out, just think a little about the psyches and methods of the anti-gun crowd.
This "commercial" oils the hinges of the door that they're trying to bust wide open on gun control. It's disgusting and repugnant.

Yep, sure its just an advertising ploy. But it's a slippery slope when a top manufacturer of ammo starts marketing to teenagers. We need to be teaching younger shooters respect for guns and ammo. I can just imagine some stoned teenagers playing around with this stuff in their heads and someone getting injured or killed. Krakow hit it on the head, some parts of the shooting industry are it's worst enemy, when we start acting like idiots out in the open for all to see.

How about some advanced technology? Something to make Hornady ammo better than their competitors? Some solid reason to make me want to buy their products. Too much to ask?
What were the jerks who approved this at Hornady thinking? Maybe it's because I came late to the shooting sports but this kind of foolishness pisses me off.

This "commercial" oils the hinges of the door that they're trying to bust wide open on gun control. It's disgusting and repugnant. For the same reason, I think paintball is one of the most repugnant "sports" to have come down the pike in a long time. It inculcates that pointing a gun-like object at another person and shooting is entertaining and fun. But this ad is just plain wrong. It's the kind of thing that hands ammunition (no pun intended) to gun control advocates on the proverbial silver platter. You would think Mr. Hornady - there is a Mr. Hornady behind this company, no? - would have reviewed all ads for his company before letting them out, and would have had sufficient sense to turn thumbs down on this one. But maybe I'm expecting too much from corporate officers.
