Husqvarna made SxS double rifles on special order. But these where only the older black powder models, model 17. Standard they sold cape guns, model 17 is one of them. On my internet site you will find some information about the model 17. http://home.wanadoo.nl/~fdwjr/HVAE.htm

I taught/(thunked) the V in "Husqvarna" was pronounced like a wubble-u For correct/unaltered Husky chain-saws, they MUST have original oil.

Not to dispute you in any way. This gun is being advertised as a sxs rifle model 37A. Do they have it wrong? This is currently on the Sarco site. Pete

Husqvarna also made hammerless double rifles on their cal 20 model 310 Eckermann system, they are called model 410 and are all in 9,3x74R.
Husqvarna is pronounced with a sounding "H" followed with a swedish "u"-sound that does not exist in the english language ("oo" is acceptable) , followed by "-kvarna".
I grew up 15 miles from the factory and I have friends currently working at their foundory.

I have been told that the Husqvarna would build whatever the customer asked for, so rifle sights would not be out of the question. I have seen their rolling blocks in shotgun gauges with rifle sights. Husqvarna made the model 37 double rifle. The one at SARCO would probably be an older model since it has an underlever and back action locks. The model 37 double rifle was later made on the the same action as the model 103 shotgun which looks like this: (That is a model 103 CS in 12 gauge built in 1912) I forget what caliber the later model 37 came in. I do not have my reference books with me. Take care, Mike

How do the Swedish pronounce "Opossum"? Is the 'o' silent?

But the model 37a at Sarco's is correct, only the price is a "little" steep. And of course there where also modern HVA gun made as double rifles, but my expertise is the older (blackpowder) guns. We are allowed to have these with no license overhere.

There is a 12,G; double shotgun made by Husqvarna Wafenfabrik, featuring a Remington rolling block action, cica 1870, on display in the collection of H.M.Queen Elizabeth at Sandringham House, Norfolk, England.[The Queens collection of sporting gun is spectacular and well worth a visit, should your travels take you to the U.K.]

Look for the 310 models, built on a Sauer intercepting sear patent but without the receiver"scallops" (screws top and bottom of receiver )- excellent steel . Very few in this country but fine firearms. best regards, JBP J B Patton, You don't happen to have that patent number do you? Thanks in advance
