I have an RBL on order, PIF 5 Dec 2005. Guns near my order date have been shipped already. Carol's latest rough estimate was March '07, but who knows. Anyway, in the fullness of time, I realize the RBL is not for me. Don't get me wrong. I'm still a big fan of Tony Galazan. I appreciate his effort with the RBL, his capabilities, and the risks he is taking to bring us all what we want; quality traditional guns of excellent value in various price points. The RBL is a great value. But RBL fever has passed for me, and I don't need another $4000 gun.

I can cancel my order, but I wonder if my position in line has any value. Galazan ended the Launch Edition deal 31 Dec, and deliveries of the latest sales are likely well out in 2008. Configuration of my gun is DT, SG, SF, 14.75 in LOP, std wood, color case hardening, assisted opening. I have stipulated the barrel engraving, though I'm sure that can be changed. Don't know if other changes can be made. So currently this is exactly the same as the latest posted RBL#354. Refer to that post for good pictures, except my wood probably won't be as nice, though no one really knows what they will get in that department. Generally the wood has been quite nice.

If you are serious, PM me (private e-mail)through this forum. Include your phone no, and I'll call you to work out a deal. After I find an agreeable price, I propose the buyer give 10% down to secure the agreement. After the gun arrives from Galazan, I'll send it to the buyer at his expense, that is shipping and FFL charges, as usual. I am not a gun dealer. Buyer can back out of the deal and get his downpayment returned if he does so before Galazan ships to me. I can send pictures to the buyer before I ship to him, but if the buyer backs out of the deal at any time and for any reason after Galazan ships the gun to me, I'll keep the deposit. Payment in full must be received by cashiers check before shipment. Buyer owns the goods as soon as they leave my dock.

I will investigate if there is a way I can transfer my place in line to you directly. This would be preferable for all, I'm sure. Until that eventuality, we're stuck with something very close to the above procedure. Thanks.

This sounds like a classified ad.

Interesting proposition. Wonder what the warranty is to the second owner... I'd want to know that if I owned it when it left your 'dock'.

Is there any way you could possibly try any harder to profit as much as possible, with as little risk as possible, from your having ordered a gun?

I think that about everybody who really wanted an RBL, probably ordered one. I also think that by paying the extra for the self-opening feature with no wood upgrade, that you are going to have to either keep the gun or take a serious hit on the price.
It sounds like this serious hit won't do much to affect your financial comdition ("I don't need another $4000 gun")
Ho Hum.
If you had used the classified ad section like everybody else here and listed your gun with a price, you could have achieved the same end without coming across as such a twit.

I understand that they will not allow you to sell your place in line anymore. Long post, in proper for sale area, about a month ago went over this. I do not see your configuration as a 4,000 gun either. Might be if you get it and sit on for a few years it might be.
