Just a note to let everyone know things are just fine in Alaska, that is if you're into snow, lots of snow.

Winter is my time for research and writing but have spent most of the time playing in the snow. I am tempted to wire a snow shovel to the front grill of my truck and drive south until somebody asked me what that is, then move there grin

If things go well Mr. Wright will be here to visit me tomorrow and then a couple days I'll go to Vegas. I'm easy to spot so say hello.

I was wondering if you were buried, like other parts of the state?
It's supposed to begin snowing and single digits the day before I leave for Reno, driving!
Enjoy Vegas...

Nothing like Valdez or Cordova, but enough here to keep me busy.

Good to know you're not buried! Been eyeballing the weather in various parts of the state. Extreme snow it looks like in South Central and very cold in the Northern parts.

Can't say I miss it much!

Michael- Unusual winter storm left a foot high blanket of snow for Christmas. First "White Christmas" in Roswell NM in least 15 years. We didn't receive a single flake last winter; this one was all gone in a week. Sorry about yours.

I don't know how cold it got in Anchorage this morning but here in Wasilla it was down right cold. I had a cup of coffee in hand when I took the dog out this morning. The coffee froze so fast the ice was still warm. laugh

I guess I should not be complaining very much ;-) after all this is Alaska. Like my friend John says "We must like it, or we would not live here".

I remembering leaving Anchorage one year for Vegas, it was -26 when I left Anchorage and 96 in Vegas.
