Nothing out of the ordinary, I suppose from lack of response? I wonder who was the barrel knitter? or engraver? Thankfully, the rust blueing took on the Antinit barrels...Steve

I wouldn't say it was ordinary. I just missed your post. Looks like a Brother's Kelber script "L" near the forend hanger. Can you pleasure us with an image there. Proof date of February 1936. Upper run tube steel and there looks to be a worn mark at the end of the Böhler Antinit steel stamp. Typical D on lower tube, seen on underside of right tube on doubles, near a single S at the forend hanger.

I somehow missed this one. As to your gun not being "out of the ordinary" I will say it is rather typical in many of your barrel marks and configuration but it does appear that your gun has some interesting artwork. The engraving about the fences is quite nice; would you kindly show us a few more pictures of the receiver in addition to the picture requested by Raimey?

I took another good look (sorry about the clarity of the photos..) and don't know what the worn mark is at the end of "antinit"...But, there is an S near the stylized L for the Kelbers, an eagle over "suhl" over crown over "U" on the rifle, as well as a crown G on the rifle. Shotgun tubes bear eagle, crown S and an additional crown U on the right barrel and crown W on the left barrel. There is a number 238 near the 1236 date. Thank you for all the help. Pictures of the gun can be seen on an earlier post about the scope rings. Maybe the engraver can be identified? Steve
