Who are the better engravers at Galazan? I know some of their guns are sent out but I think most are engraved in house. If I were going to order a higher grade Fox (DE or FE) any suggestions on what engraver to request. I have seen several Foxes listed for sale on various sites that listed the engraver. I've also noticed some variation in quality of the engraving. I figured requesting a specific engraver will help ensure I'm happy with the end project. I don't need an Italian master - just looking for nice work.

I didn't know they had any engravers in house. They use Creative Arts on a number of guns I've seen. When Tony gave us a tour, he mentioned sending out for engraving the gun in process he was showing us.

OK - I didn't know that - I thought all but the top guns were engraved there.

James DeMunck was one of their engravers on the exhibition guns. I believe he lives in Rochester,New York.

J. DeMunck & Richard Roy engraved a lot of the earlier guns. At least one of these engravers is no longer working. I can't remember which one. CSMC is using some of the Italian engravers now. Gobbi is one. I suggest you call Lou Fructuoso @CSMC & ask him.

Check out the CSMC DE 20ga on Robin Hollow's web page. It has two grouse on each side and two gold woodcock on the bottom. It has deep relief engraving wich was done by Richard Roy. terc

I believe there are articles in DGJ about CSMC engravers, maybe Roy or DeMunck.
