Guys i was at a gunshow today and noticed Yildiz shotguns. They are made in Turkey, have turkish walnut, cast stocks and real nice engraving for the money. Some were a little hard to open and the safety was a little hokey in comparison to the alloy engraved reciever but overall the gun looks solid for the price. If anyone has any experience or opinions i would appreciate some input. Thanks.

I owned one for a while, used it as a loaner gun. I sold it to a friend who needed a good inexpensive gun. For the price, they cannot be beat. The one I had handled better than a Citori, for me, but was of course not as well made. But for 386 plus tax, it was a screaming deal.

Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.

I have a 20g Yildiz for the money you guys get them for you are stealing them they are a nice little gun they point well handle nice and shoot where you point them (I paid $995 Aus $750 US for mine) my gun is only the the SPZ ME not a special it is one of 10 20g guns bought in to see how the would sell I know of a couple in my local club so far no problems with any of them
I really enjoy shooting mine it weighs 6Ib with 28" barrels I had a deaccelarator pad fitted to increase the LOP to the same as my B Rizzini 12g I only use 24gr loads in mine if I want 1oz I'll use my 12g
20g guns are a bit of a rarity on clay courses in Australia you get some looks when you are using it but everyone who has handled it have had good things to say about it there is always someone who would like a shot out of it they are generally surprised by the low recoil
I really am impressed by the finish on my gun the wood to metal fit is very good I would say as good as my B Rizzini certainly better than the price would indicate there does seem to be a stigma attached to Turkish guns on some sites all I can say is buy the gun not the name
check out the I love my Yildiz page on http://www.shotgunworld.com
