When I posted pictures a couple years ago of a 98 Mauser in .30-40, Mark chided me and remarked that I surely was aware of the Krag rifle. I was aware and thought he might enjoy seeing my newest Krag project and another .30-40 rifle I recently finished. Nice design on the Krag stock. Did you start from scratch, or was a semi-finished stock involved? If it was the latter, who furnished it?

Thanks for the compliments. For the Krag stock I glassed the barreled action to a scrap military stock and had Dennis Olson in Plains, MT, machine the inletting. I carved the outside by hand trying for a blend of classic American style with a touch of British accent.
