Guys,

I have been searching and searching the site, as I know the information is there, for good 10 gauge BP loads with nice shot. I can't find the data. I wanted to start loading this week for 2 7/8 Parker hammer.

Can anyone point me to the thread or provide any recommended load data?

Thanks all.

The Nice Shot website recommends adding 1500 PSI to any load in which Nice Shot is substituded for an equal weight or lead shot. I take this to be the maximum variance found in loading Nice Shot.

I have used this in smokeless loads which would be 6000-8000 psi with lead shot.

Start with a low pressure in a strong gun and use at your own risk.

Ahhh... good data. I have a Sherman Bell load in mind that should work well.

I have all the faith in my ultra heavy 10Ga Parker.

To be on the safe side once you have decided on a load I would send three loaded rounds to Tom Armbrust at Ballistics Research to have the chamber pressure verified. You had better hurry though because Toms shuts down his testing once the weather gets cold.

If your gun is sound I'd think you'd be just fine with 4 to 4&1/2 drams of 2F black-powder and 1&1/2 to 1&5/8 oz's of shot.
