Just got a BSW Simson from 1936. It is interesting as it is the only side by side I have ever seen with loaded chamber indicators. I had to take it apart, as the top lever spring has broken. Now the real interesting part, the sear interupters are part of the safety slide. If I hold my mouth right I can barely get the trigger plate back in and functioning, if the stock is off! anybody have any helpful hints on re-assembly?

Can you post some images? I have one apart and it may be that scears need to be in battery in order to re-assemble. I don't think the wood is going to cooperate otherwise.
Kind Regards,

I have a 3/38 dated BSW 16 ga s x s with the loaded chamber indicators that pop back out of the top of the "balls" of the action when loaded. It is a mid to upper grade gun, with more extensive coverage of engraving than the commonly seen BSW guns, and I have a 1/37 dated BSW 16 ga O/U gun with only the usual cocking indicators on the sides of the action. I also have a post war Simson branded gun dated 1/65 that has both loaded chamber indicators and cocking indicators. This gun has the modern elongated action style like the Merkels of the era, and a straight grip stock.
