Haha the last one! Yep same guy , same gun. Just now I own it. Hope I didn't pay too much. It feels really nice. I didn't realize how nice these older shotguns were.

Anyone really think its worth $1400 though? That other post had a 1400 tag on it. That's hard to believe. Yeah I was getting it for a gift for my dad for xmas, then I found out that the little piece of wood was missing for the stock. Although, it did allow me to get it at a lower price and ended up keeping it for myself. Cant give anyone a broken gun for a gift. Dad will get a nice gift card at the gun shop haha. Im sure he likes this idea better anyway.

AR, watch out about these old guns, they can become addictive. They're fun to hunt with, they sort of take you back to an a slower and simpler time. I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of that time as a kid, and now I have these old guns to take me back.Steve

The gun in question is a New Ithaca Gun. The Crass was a hammerless gun. The NIG hammer guns were built and serial numbered right along with the Crass Model hammerless guns, and then the Lewis Model hammerless guns, and then the Minier Model hammerless guns and finally the Flues Model hammerless guns. With Twist barrels and no engraving, it is the lowest price gun, the A-Grade at the time.

Hell gun owning is addictive. I don't have any kids, so I guess this is as simple as it gets for me for now. Wish it was a bit slower though.
