Hello guys,
I've been viewing here for awhile but new to adding anything. Just a note of appreciation. I'm learning a lot and enjoying your sharing of information. I know several that post here so I thought I'd join in. I'm a custom stock maker and in the process of learning more about doubles. I was voted into the American Custom Gunmaker's Guild this year with one of your regulars (Glenn Fewless). Great guy!

Welcome Trez and congratulations again on being accepted into the Guild.

For those who don't recognize the name Trez is the son of Darwin Hensley, one of the premier stockmakers of our generation. Trez is very lucky to have such a mentor.

BTW, Glenn would be a great guy to work with on a project as long as you don't want a "wedding band transition" on the barrel.

Folks, in that Trez is a Guild stockmaker it would seem that saying he is a fine stockmaker is redundant, but his work is both technically excellent and pleasing to the eye. If you need a handle on your gun you can't do better than Trez.





Man, the gall of some folks! It took me three months to talk Doug into that wedding band transition, him kicking and screaming all the way. Then we display it at the Guild show and it draws rave reviews from all who see it, and suddenly it's his idea!
